The key question is not just whether a patient hurts, but what tissue was injured, how the collision likely caused it, whether the findings can be measured objectively, and how clearly that injury can be documented for both treatment and legal purposes.
In personal injury cases, timing and precision matter. Many collision-related conditions do not present in a clean, obvious way on day one. Neck pain may worsen over 24 to 72 hours. Headaches, dizziness, visual strain, and balance disturbance may be misread as stress until vestibular or post-concussive testing is performed. Numbness into the arm may reflect nerve irritation, joint dysfunction, or soft tissue instability.
